6/23/2023 0 Comments Bad batch omegaAll we can do now is wait for Season 2 of The Bad Batch to drop on Disney+ sometime in the near future. Despite the lack of information, Season 2 has a lot to run with whenever it finally premieres. The first season of The Bad Batch was fantastic and seems to have done well on Disney+. Where will the team go now? Will they join Captain Rex’s pseudo-rebellion? Will they return to mercenary work? Will Crosshair ever return to the team, or will he remain with the Empire? Hopefully, some, if not all of these questions will be answered in Season 2. There are obviously still a lot of unknowns for the new season. That might also relate to the cloning used in the sequel trilogy and that has been hinted at in The Mandalorian. There’s a lot of Michelle Ang in Omega, the newest member of Clone Force 99, on Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The Empire also rescued Kaminoan scientist Nala Se from Tapoca City’s destruction, which could imply that they are still using cloning technology. Although, his headaches in the final season might imply the Empire lied to him, and he still has his inhibitor chip implanted. He had been hunting the team on his own accord. The revelation that Crosshair (who was working against the Bad Batch through most of the first season) had his inhibitor chip removed at the top of the list. The season finale left a lot up in the air for the team to deal with in the new season. She could become the biggest asset for Clone Force 99. Like Boba, she may have inherited some of her father’s inherent talent and skill in combat. It would add an interesting dynamic for the team though, especially since Crosshair is still alive and working for the Empire. She might even take over Crosshair’s role as a sniper on the team, but that seems unlikely. There is a chance she may have a bigger role on the team. On the other hand, if a couple of years have passed, Omega may have gotten some training under her belt. With the entire Empire still after her and the rest of Clone Force 99, she will still likely need some protection from her brothers. This means she will likely still be in her early teens when Season 2 takes place. Omega, like Boba Fett, is an unaltered clone of Jango Fett, so she doesn’t age as rapidly as the other clones. It looks like there may be a two or three-year time skip, which is pretty standard for TV shows. They say that Omega will be a little bit older, so it doesn’t seem likely the show will fast-forward too far. RELATED: Could 'The Bad Batch' Season 2 Bring Back A Forgotten 'Clone Wars' Monster? They said she would be a little bit older but not a lot, and they assured the reason was “really cool.” However, they did confirm that there would be a slight time jump in the second season, and Omega will be a little bit older. Naturally, they had to stay kind of tight-lipped about a lot of the stuff that is going on in the new season. In an interview with the YouTube podcast The Convor Call, the Kiners, composers of Clone Wars and Bad Batch, shared some of their information for the upcoming season.
